On Saturday, October 12th, the “Latin American-Wanderers Football Cup: Mixed Football 5” took place, co-organized by the Consulates General of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay, the Honorary Consulate of El Salvador and the Western Sydney Wanderers.

We thank the Western Sydney Wanderers for their willingness to host the tournament and the sponsors who made it possible: LATAM, Hermanos Rodríguez and ENAEX. 

Around 100 players from our Latin American communities participated in the eight teams, in a soccer match that lasted all day at the Western Sydney Wanderers sports facility in Rooty Hill, NSW.

In this event, our passion for soccer was united with friendship between our peoples, and there were several cultural events and typical foods from our countries for all the participants and the community that came to support their teams. We thank the group “Nobleza Gaucha” for their display of argentine folklore dances and also “Latin Flavour” for the provision of choripanes, lomitos, empanadas, locro and alfajores.

Finally, we highlight the team for their dedication and pride in representing our country: Lucía, Macarena, Malena, Carolina, Pilar, Damián, Tomas, Mariano, Fabián, Lorenzo, Zach, Leonel and Sebastián, led by Alberto, Eduardo and Carlos.
