Project Context

Rare earth elements are essential inputs for electric vehicles, wind turbines, semiconductors, and defense applications. At present, global refining capacity is highly concentrated geographically. Technologies that enable diversified and efficient processing are receiving increasing international attention.

 

The Technology

ALKEMIO is developing a modular, three-stage refining system that integrates:

* Organic acid leaching

* Ion exchange purification

* Proprietary molecular recognition separation

Laboratory results indicate recovery efficiencies above 87% under controlled conditions. The modular configuration is designed to reduce processing stages and physical footprint compared to conventional solvent extraction methods.
