On Wednesday, July 8, we welcomed "Bruna" to the Consulate General for a morning of storytelling, art, and community.
Illustrator Valeria Gottau, along with Veronica and Nancy from Let's go Español Spanish School and Eliana from Booklings Australia, welcomed Spanish-speaking families to the Consulate General for an interactive experience combining illustration and children's literature. The event offered bilingual children a chance to connect with the Spanish language through stories, illustrations, and games.
Valeria demonstrated how a picture book comes to life, giving the children the opportunity to view original watercolor illustrations. They then watched the story unfold through a live illustration session while Verónica read the text aloud.
After a delicious break featuring "alfajores" from Viviana Delights, the event continued with creative drawing activities.
We extend our thanks to everyone involved in making this event a success!
