The Consulate General participated in the Moonlight Tango Festival, which took place from September 9th to 14th, 2025 in Brisbane.

This celebration of tango, an Argentine cultural expression , brought together renowned dancers and musicians with international acclaim, who offered performances and workshops for participants. Attendees also enjoyed four nights of milongas and live music at Brisbane City Hall.

The event was hosted by Fabio Robles, a prestigious Argentine director, dancer, and choreographer who has been a leader in promoting tango in Australia for more than two decades. Special mention should be made of the participation of Catamarcan maestros Paula Tejeda & Lucas Carrizo, the musical duo Asato-Pais of Cristián Asato and Ayelén País, and DJ, bandoneonist, and member of the organizing committee, José Argañarás.
